Each child has a set of allowances, the amount depending on their age. These allowances cover pocket money, clothing money, recreational allowances and toiletries.
Pocket money is given weekly and the child has the right to spend it as they deem fit.
Clothing money is given on a monthly basis. Dependent on the age and level of responsibility, the child will go with staff or be allowed to go on their own to do their shopping.
The recreational allowance is an amount available for the child to use on things such as cinema, sports or other activities. The child is able to make choices as to what recreational activities they prefer to partake in, rather than imposed. Sports activities a hobbies and funded by the organisation.
An allowance is provided for toiletries. Every child in our care have their own toiletries and is not expected to share with others.
Where appropriate, children are provided with travel passes to enable them to travel freely on public transport in the local area.
