The Beaufort Projects provides high quality residential child care for children and young people aged eight to seventeen with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The quality of our work with children and young people continues to be evidenced by CSCI including the most recent inspection report dated August 2006 where both of our homes received excellent ratings. The company also achieved Investors in People recognition in February 2006 and was one of the first organisations in Dorset to achieve the revised Standard.
The Directors of the business are Jenny Kendall and Neil Gray. Jenny is a qualified social worker. She has 16 years experience of working with young people in a range of settings and has managed projects in education, youth work and mental health services. Neil is Registered Manager for both projects and has 13 years experience of working in the residential child care setting, 7 years as a manager. Neil is a qualified social worker and manager with extensive post-qualifying qualifications.
Our primary task is to achieve positive outcomes for looked after children by providing a supportive, caring and positive environment through a skilled, competent and empathic staff team.

Offer a diverse range of services and resources to meet the needs of children and young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Deploying experienced well-qualified and child centered staff teams
High staffing ratios to ensure the needs and risks of young people with complex needs can be met
Using research and theory to inform our practice such as, the lifespace therapeutic model of care.
Adopting a non-punitive and anti-oppressive approach in working with looked after children living in a residential setting
High quality living environments for children and young people to live in. Our Projects are homes not institutions.

Our Children's Homes
The New Park Project and The Beaufort Project are therapeutic children's homes offering specialist care of children and young people aged 8-17 years old with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties and needs.
Our Projects accommodate both boys and girls from the ages of 8-17 years old. The New Park Project operates as an all boys children's home and The Beaufort Project as an all girls children's home.
